Murano Glass Christmas Ornaments
Hand-blown glass has been created on the island of Murano, in the lagoon of Venice, for around 1400 years. The kilns were moved there after a great fire in the city. The move also helped to hide the glassmakers secrets from prying eyes as they developed new and exciting techniques. Descendants of these glass blowers still create traditional glass masterpieces and designs.

Each piece of glass is still made by hand and thus no two pieces are exactly alike.

This unique quality is as treasured today as it was a thousand years ago.
