Franco's Collection

The beautiful Art Glass plates of Murano are made in homage to some of the world's greatest paintings and most important artists.

Created by Venetian Artist Franco Cafiero, these luminescent creations bring a new element to the works of such masters as Klimt and Monet, introducing light in a way that captures the essential feeling of the original work, while expressing perhaps even more complex emotions.

Each piece, displayed exclusively at Bellissimo!, is a one-of-a-kind work conceived in Franco's studio in Venice, and realized in the famous 'fornaci' of the nearby island of Murano.

In creating these works, Franco chooses the original work, and then carefully sketches the 'omaggio' and selects the colors to be used. After firing and cutting the shapes required, each piece is hand-painted to complete the neccessary detail, before being assembled and re-fired into a single piece.

The beautiful round dinnerware plates are available as custom sets at attractive prices. You may select the works of art to be displayed, and discuss the work with the artist before they are created to your order.
